Land & Partners Transport Assessment (2018)
Our View
Future development, if it is to be considered sustainable, should not be focused on outlying rural / semi-rural areas with inadequate access to limited services. Development in these locations would only promote out-commuting, high levels of car ownership and a reliance on the car to access employment and services adding high levels of traffic to already inadequate and restrained infrastructure. This is contrary to the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) and Havant Borough Council’s HBC’s current Local Plan policies and demonstrates a lack of good planning that would result in the permanent loss of a valued natural asset to the Borough.
